Mango Nice Cream
This quick and easy “ice cream” is light and tasty and not filled with extra sugars or calories.
Nice cream is basically frozen bananas blended with add-ins. The possibilities are literally endless.
This mango nice cream is one serving, it can be doubled to suit a family or multiple people.
You will need some kind of food processor or high-speed blender. I have this Ninja.
I buy the bags of frozen mangos. For the bananas, I cut up and freeze the bananas we have on hand that are nearing the too-brown stage. We always have frozen bananas on hand. If you don’t have one, cut one into coins and freeze it for a couple of hours.
1 cup frozen mango chunks
1 medium frozen banana (broken into pieces)
1 full dropper of turmeric or 1 tsp of the powder
3-6 Tablespoons Silk brand heavy cream or full-fat coconut milk (can use plant-based milk or coconut water for a softer texture)
Place the frozen fruit into the blender.
Add the turmeric. This has so many health benefits and there is no taste in the end product.
Add some of the liquid.
Blend or process until the mixture turns smooth. Add in more of the liquid as needed for the texture you desire.
Serve and enjoy immediately
Toppings like almond slices, chia seeds, and coconut shavings can be added.
